What Mr. Softee can do to a rental car

We visited our friend Kelly & her daughter Ivy in Brooklyn yesterday. Our rental car was parked legally, about 3 cars from the corner, when a Mr. Softee ice cream truck slammed into it around 7PM last night, pushing it up on to the curb, smashing in the front passenger door and knocking off the mirror. According to a witness, the truck stopped long enough to make a phone call then sped off. NYPD were on the scene when we walked up after dinner & could not have been nicer.
